You don't want any kinds of bacteria growing in your Clearwater spas or Island Escape spas that shouldn't be growing since it can cause you to get sick. And if you're pregnant, you want to try to avoid being sick by all means possible, according to www.hottubs.
According to the Organization of Teratology Information Services (OTIS), a body temperature of 101º Fahrenheit or above can cause concerns during a woman's pregnancy. Pregnant women are more prone to overheating and are at a higher risk when they are in hot tubs such as Clearwater spas. Also, there are studies that have shown an amplified risk of birth defects in babies of women who had an increased body temperature during their first trimester of pregnancy.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) also states that becoming overheated in Island Escape or Clearwater spas is not recommended during pregnancy. ACOG also recommends that pregnant women never let their internal body temperature rise above 102.2º Fahrenheit.
